Welcome to the Zooplankton Ecology Laboratory at LSU. Our research is designed to provide new knowledge about the interactions among zooplankton, their predators, and prey in marine systems. We focus on how the distributions and behaviors of individuals affects that patterns we see in zooplankton on scales from centimeters to ocean basins. At the core of our observational approaches are new imaging technologies combined with active and passive acoustical systems and conventional sampling systems such as nets and pumps.
